My name is Mrs. Yolanda Ochoa. I have been teaching at St. Anthony’s Catholic School for 23 years. I also taught in the public school system as well as other private schools, but I love St. Anthony BEST of all. I graduated from the University of Texas at Edinburg in 1985 with a degree in Elementary Reading Education and a minor in Generic Special Education. I have one grandchild who I dearly love and had the pleasure of teaching. My husband of 34 years is also an educator and a coach as well as my daughter whom teaches 7th grade Reading and Writing at a public school. My son attends Texas A&M University and is near graduating. He currently lives in Austin. I have been dedicated to teaching young children for 33 years. My philosophy is that a child’s success as an adult cannot happen without a solid educational foundation and a steadfast faith in God.
